Lucknow, Sep 20 (PTI) Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak on Sunday said Uttar Pradesh is emerging as a hub for new opportunities in investment, innovation and industrial development, following the conclusion of a food expo organised by the Indian Industries Association in Lucknow.
In a post on X in Hindi, Pathak said, “Addressed the closing ceremony of the 11th edition of the three-day ‘India Food Expo-2026′ … today. A discussion was held on the progress and achievements in the areas of food processing, industry, investment, employment, and entrepreneurship in Uttar Pradesh.” “Uttar Pradesh is today becoming a hub of new opportunities for investment, innovation, and industrial development. Continuous efforts are being made to boost farmers’
income, provide employment to the youth, and give new momentum to the state’s economy by promoting the food processing sector,” Pathak said.
A statement issued here by the organisers said the primary objective of this 11th edition of the food expo was to accelerate the growth of food processing and allied industries in Uttar Pradesh and to provide MSMEs with access to new technologies, investments, and business opportunities by bringing the entire ‘farm-to-fork’ food value chain onto a single platform.
Despite the rain and heat, approximately 20,000 visitors and entrepreneurs from eight states, including Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand, participated in the three-day expo, they said.
Entrepreneurs explored new technologies and products at various stalls, placed substantial business orders, and actively participated in technical sessions, the statement added. PTI NAV PRK
