Not all online posts are about complaints; some restore faith in humanity. A woman’s recent appreciation post for Blinkit is doing just that. What began as a desperate search for a safe ambulance for her mother turned into a story of gratitude and surprise.
On Reddit, the woman shared how an unexpected discovery outside a hospital completely changed her perception of the delivery app. Her detailed account shows how a tech platform known for quick grocery deliveries went far beyond its usual service.
A Search For Help Turns Into Gratitude
The woman wrote that her mother was admitted to Artemis Hospital and needed to be shifted home. While looking for ambulances with oxygen support, she was shocked at the prices. The hospital charged Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,000
for just a kilometre, and the private ones ranged from Rs 600 to Rs 1,000 but were old, dirty and unsafe.
That is when she noticed a Blinkit ambulance parked outside. Remembering that the company had recently launched a free emergency service, she decided to check it out. To her surprise, the vehicle was fully equipped with paramedics, oxygen and cardiac support, far better than anything else he had seen.
Smooth, Professional And Free
She explained that she wasn’t even a Blinkit user before this. She downloaded the app and ordered the ambulance, just like booking a cab. Within 10 minutes, the paramedics called to confirm details about his mother’s condition and arrived promptly at Artemis. Despite a 20-minute wait caused by the hospital’s delay, they stayed patiently.
The transfer was smooth and professional; the team took the handover from the nurses, connected oxygen, checked vitals and safely transported her mother home, even helping her settle into bed.
The total charge? Absolutely free. She ended the post by thanking Blinkit for the initiative and urged others to “order a Blinkit ambulance first, then call 112” in emergencies.
