Amaravati, Jul 26 (PTI) Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Sunday paid tribute to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives during the Kargil War, marking Kargil Vijay Diwas.
The Governor said the Indian Army soldiers fought valiantly under extremely harsh conditions to defend the motherland.
“Their indomitable spirit and unwavering resolve continue to inspire the youth with courage, patriotism and a spirit of selfless service,” Nazeer said in a post on ‘X’.
Similarly, the chief minister said Kargil Vijay Diwas is an occasion to pay solemn tribute to the brave soldiers whose extraordinary courage secured India’s victory.
“In the face of formidable terrain and
relentless adversity, they stood firm to protect the nation’s sovereignty. Their supreme sacrifice and unmatched heroism continue to inspire generations and remain a timeless symbol of patriotism and national pride,” Naidu said in a post on ‘X’.
Likewise, Jagan said Kargil Vijay Diwas is a day to honour the brave soldiers whose unwavering resolve, unparalleled courage and supreme sacrifice protected the nation’s sovereignty.
“Their extraordinary valour will forever inspire generations of Indians. We salute our Armed Forces and remember with deep gratitude the martyrs who laid down their lives in service of the Motherland. Jai Hind!” said Jagan in a post on ‘X’.
Kargil Vijay Diwas is observed every year on July 26 to commemorate India’s victory in the 1999 Kargil War and honour the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in defence of the nation. PTI MS KH
