Standing in a long queue at the US Embassy in Delhi is stressful in itself. For one woman, the pressure grew even more when she realised she might be missing key documents just minutes before her visa
interview.
What followed was an unexpected solution that turned panic into relief. Her experience, shared on X, shows how quick thinking and instant delivery came together at the right moment.
A Tense Moment Outside The Embassy
The woman, an AI researcher and founder at NeoSigma, is also an alumnus of IIT Delhi. In her post, she explained that she was waiting for her O-1 visa interview when a sudden worry hit her.
“I was standing in the queue for my O-1 visa interview at the Delhi US Embassy when I realized I might be missing a couple of documents that Google says are kind of important for O-1 approval,” she wrote.
The situation felt overwhelming. “The queue was already insanely long even for an 8 AM slot, and there was no time to run to the market. I started panicking a bit,” she added.
A Simple Tip Changes Everything
As she stood there, unsure of what to do next, help came from an unexpected place. According to her post, a security guard calmly suggested a solution.
“Just then, the guard casually goes: “Ma’am, just Blinkit,” she recalled, referring to the instant delivery app.
Taking the advice, she quickly uploaded her documents to the app while still standing in line. What happened next surprised her.
“So while still standing in the queue, I uploaded my documents on the app. They got printed and delivered to me in 15 minutes, while I was still in the queue,” she wrote.
Panic Turns Into Relief
The quick delivery helped her stay in line and keep her appointment. In the end, everything worked out.
“Saved my panic moment lol. Visa approved and stamped. Literally saved my day and truly served the best purpose of a last-minute delivery app 🙂 In such moments, services in India feel like a real privilege!” she wrote.
