Fans thronged cinema halls across the state, marking what is expected to be Vijay’s last outing on the big screen before he devotes himself entirely to politics. After a delay of nearly seven months, the film has opened to a strong response at the box office. Amid the celebrations and positive word of mouth, Tamil television actor Anandhi Ajay shared an emotional video after learning that her scenes had been removed from the film. In the now-viral clip, she was seen holding back tears as she spoke about the heartbreak of losing an opportunity she had looked forward to for months.

on her Instagram handle, Anandhi revealed that she had been part of the project for nearly a year and had eagerly awaited the chance to appear alongside Vijay on the big screen. Her emotional reaction surfaced on the same day Jana Nayagan released in theatres to a strong opening, with the film drawing packed houses across Tamil Nadu.

Speaking in Tamil, the actress broke down as she revealed that all of her scenes had been removed from the final cut of Jana Nayagan. She admitted that the news left her deeply heartbroken, especially because she had hoped the film would mark her long-awaited opportunity to share screen space with Vijay. Anandhi also expressed regret that she may never get another chance to work with the actor, as Jana Nayagan is widely believed to be his last film before he transitions to politics full-time. Soon after the video surfaced online, netizens were seen showering her with love and support. One user wrote, “U will get a super lead character very soon everything wil happen for reason be positive.” Another user wrote, “Again, your scene got deleted. OMG, I feel so sad for you, sister. Meanwhile, Jana Nayagan, also starring Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol and Mamitha Baiju, earned Rs 41 crore net in India on its opening day, according to Sacnilk.
