Gurugram, Sep 7 (PTI) Two separate teams of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested a police inspector and a clerk of the Education Department while allegedly accepting bribes in Nuh district on Monday, an official said.
According to an ACB official, the Ambala ACB arrested Inspector Kundan Singh, Station House Officer (SHO) of Punhana City police station, while accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000, and Shakir, a clerk at the District Education Office, while accepting Rs 25,000.
The SHO was allegedly investigating a case registered at Pingawan police station under the POCSO Act and related to rape. He had allegedly demanded Rs 1 lakh from the complainant in exchange for dropping the name of one of the accused from the case, the official said.

on a complaint, the ACB laid a trap and arrested Singh while he was accepting Rs 50,000 at Punhana City police station, the official said.
Singh allegedly attempted to flee during the operation but was immediately apprehended by the ACB team, he said.
In a separate operation, the ACB arrested Shakir while accepting Rs 25,000, allegedly demanded to process a teacher’s medical bill, the official said.
“Two FIRs have been registered against both the accused and they are being questioned,” an ACB official said. PTI COR MDO MDO
