Commercial LPG prices were hiked again from Thursday, October 1, with the price of a 19-kg cylinder in Delhi rising by Rs 62.50 to Rs 2,810. The increase comes ahead of the festive season, when demand from hotels, restaurants and other businesses typically rises.
The latest hike follows a Rs 9.50 increase in September, when the 19-kg commercial cylinder was priced at Rs 2,747.50 in Delhi.
In Patna, the price has increased by Rs 71.50. The revised rates came into effect from Thursday.
The increase is expected to add to the operating costs of restaurants, hotels and other commercial establishments, which use LPG cylinders for cooking.
Meanwhile, prices of domestic LPG cylinders remain unchanged, providing no immediate change for household consumers.
The last price hike for the 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder came in September, when the price was increased by Rs 9.50. The revised rates came into effect from September 1, with new prices applicable across major cities.
