(MP), Oct 5 (PTI) A tiger was found dead at the Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve (BTR) in Madhya Pradesh’s Umaria district, a forest official said on Sunday.
Sub-Divisional Officer (Forest) Bhura Gaikwad said a patrolling team on Saturday spotted the carcass of a tiger in compartment RF-610 of Salkhania beat in the BTR.
“The carcass was about five to six days old. Following a post-mortem, the carcass was disposed of. Viscera and other samples have been preserved and sent to the laboratory,” he said.
The cause of death and other details will be known once the reports arrive, he added. PTI COR LAL ARU
