On Friday, October 23, Sun TV Network shared photographs of Sun Group chairman Kalanithi Maran meeting Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi to invite them to the couple’s wedding reception. The reception is scheduled to take place in Chennai on November 21, as confirmed by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in an earlier post on X.

The post read, “In New Delhi, Congress Parliamentary Party leader Sonia Gandhi met and received the wedding reception invitation for Kavya Kalanidhi Maran – Anirudh Ravichander from Sun TV Group Chairman Kalanidhi Maran. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi was present with Kalanidhi.”

The post read, “Sun TV Group Chairman Kalanithi Maran met Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi and presented her with the wedding reception invitation for Kavya Kalanithi and Anirudh Ravichander. Kalanithi was accompanied by Kaveri Kalanithi.”

After a lot of speculation around Kavya and Anirudh’s relationship, it was finally confirmed that the duo is getting married soon. The official confirmation came after Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy took to X to share pictures and videos of Kavya Maran’s parents, Kalanithi Maran and Kavery Maran, personally inviting him to their daughter’s wedding reception. He wrote in his post, “Sun Group Chairman Shri Kalanithi Maran and his wife, Smt. Kavery Maran, met Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy at his residence in Jubilee Hills and invited him to the wedding reception of their daughter, Kavya Maran. The wedding reception of Kavya Maran and Anirudh Ravichander is scheduled to be held in Chennai on November 21. #KalanithiMaran #KavyaMaran.”

Meanwhile, Kavya was recently seen attending the special screening of Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2. Her husband-to-be, Anirudh, composed music for the most-awaited film.
