March 2026 Braces For Mega Box Office Clash: Ranbir Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, Yash May Lock Horns

The year 2026 may still be two months away, but India’s film release calendar is already getting crowded. With filmmakers competing for festive slots such as Eid, Ugadi and Gudi Padwa, March 19 and 20, 2026, are shaping up to host one of the biggest box office clashes in recent years.

Over that weekend, four major films spanning three languages, with an estimated combined value of around Rs 700 crore, are set for a grand pan-India release.

Dhamaal 4-Love & War Clash

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming romantic drama, Love & War, which explores an intense love triangle, is set to lock horns with Ajay Devgn’s highly anticipated comedy sequel, Dhamaal 4. While Bhansali’s film will have the star power of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, Devgn’s franchise

has long been awaited by fans eager for its return. Both films are slated for release on March 20, setting the stage for a massive box office showdown. Together, the two productions carry an estimated combined budget of Rs 325 crore.

Yash’s Toxic, Adivi Sesh’s Dacoit Face-Off

Before the Love & War and Dhamaal 4 showdown, the box office will heat up with another major face-off: Toxic versus Dacoit. Reportedly mounted on a massive Rs 300 crore budget, Toxic is slated for release in six languages, including Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam. The film features Yash in the lead, alongside a star-studded ensemble of Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, Sudev Nair and Akshay Oberoi.

Releasing on March 19, Toxic will go head-to-head with Adivi Sesh’s action thriller Dacoit, which also stars Mrunal Thakur and Anurag Kashyap in key roles. The Telugu-Hindi bilingual is set for a pan-India release, adding to the excitement surrounding this high-octane cinematic clash.

Are Makers Planning Date Changes?

While the makers of Dacoit announced its release date earlier this week, the team of Toxic have reaffirmed their decision to go ahead with the originally planned schedule.

Reports suggest that Love & War might be running slightly behind production timelines, with a possible June 2026 release on the cards, though nothing has been officially confirmed yet. For now, audiences are eagerly looking forward to what promises to be an epic cinematic face-off between four major films next year.
