Several users reported issues accessing major AI platforms, including ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and Gemini, on Thursday evening.
According to outage-tracking website Downdetector, ChatGPT recorded around 3,384 user reports in India as of 8:30 PM, while Gemini had 791 reports, Claude 177 and Grok 72.
The platforms also saw a spike in outage reports in the US. More than 38,000 reports were recorded for ChatGPT, while Claude, Grok and Gemini had around 700, 800 and 400 reports, respectively.
The simultaneous reports of disruptions across multiple AI platforms sparked reactions on social media, with users questioning whether the outages were connected.
“Claude, Grok and ChatGPT all down simultaneously??? A coincidence or something else??” Everyday Pursuits

Nikhil Saini also posted on X, “Gemini watching ChatGPT and Grok crash at the same time: #ChatGPT.”
It was not immediately clear whether the reported issues were linked or caused by a common technical problem. Downdetector reports are based on user submissions and do not necessarily indicate a complete outage of a service.
