Stranger Things’ actress Millie Bobby Brown is no longer “Bobby Brown”. The 21-year-old, who married Jake Bongiovi in a private wedding ceremony in 2024, shared that she has officially changed her name
after marriage. During an interview with her co-star Noah Schnapp, Millie revealed that she has taken her husband’s name.
While promoting the fifth and last season of Netflix’s sci-fi horror series created by the Duffer brothers, Noah was asked to state his BFF Millie’s full name. He got it wrong a few times before the actress corrected him during an interview for VT.
At first, Noah, who did not know the answer, jokingly called her “Millifer,” which received a disappointed expression from Millie. Next, he said her full name is Millie Bonnie Brown, as the actress had disclosed earlier. But that was not correct either. She pointed out that things have changed, as she is married now. To which, he thought she meant she added “Bongiovi” to the end.
Millie Is Now Millie Bonnie Bongiovi
Noah said it is Millie Bonnie Brown Bongiovi. That was not her name either. The duo then broke out in laughter, with Noah pointing out that her name is “so long.” His next guess was Millie Bonnie Bobby Bongiovi Brown. She then asked him to drop Bobby. “Drop the Bobby, drop the Brown,” she told him before revealing what her name is now. “It’s just Millie Bonnie Bongiovi.”
Referencing the repeated sounds in her name, the Enola Holmes actress joked that she can now go by “Millie Bon Bon.” This led Noah to add that her name is “MBBBBBBBB.”

Millie married Jake Bongiovi, son of Jon Bon Jovi, in an intimate ceremony in Italy in 2024 after three years of dating. A year later, the couple welcomed their first child together. Through an Instagram post shared in August, the couple revealed that they have adopted a baby girl. More recently, Millie shared that her co-star and best friend, Noah, is the godfather to their daughter.
When Millie Bonnie Bongiovi Revealed Her Middle Name Wasn’t Bobby
Earlier this year, Millie revealed that although she had always gone by Millie Bobby Brown, that was not her actual name. During an interview with BuzzFeed UK, she told her Electric State co-star Chris Pratt that her middle name was actually Bonnie and not Bobby, which makes her Millie Bonnie Brown. “I’ve never told anyone that,” she said.
