Rajat Bedi On Vera Bedi Being Compared To Kareena Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai: 'My Daughter Is Very Innocent'

has also stolen the spotlight. While Vera has remained away from the limelight until now, she became an overnight social media sensation after accompanying her father to the glamorous premiere of Aryan Khan’s directorial debut in Mumbai.

Recently, Rajat Bedi joined Filmygyan for a chat and reacted to some fan comments, one of which was: “Vera Bedi is 18 years old, and she can eat 10 Kareena Kapoor and 20 Aishwarya for dinner.” Rajat reacted, “Nahi, nahi please, please, please (folding hands). My daughter is a very innocent girl.”

He added, “Meri haath jod ke binti hai, aisa statements please mat banayie ki she can eat a Kareena Kapoor or an Aishwarya Rai. We are very blessed ki aap log ka pyaar mil raha hai. Comparing her to a Kareena ya Aishwarya, please, they are very big personalities in our industry.”

The actor stated, “Meri bachhi hai chhoti si. Please give her the love and respect. Right now woh padh rahi hai, 18 saal ki hai. College mein, college jaati hai. Usse bhi nahi samajh aa rahi yeh kya ho raha hai. Papa ke saath mein ek red carpet pe gayi aur media ne pakad ke utha liya hai.”

Previously, speaking to Hindustan Times, Rajat had said, “My whole family has got into the spotlight. It’s not just me alone. My children are exposed right now because of me and the show. They have gone viral, and it’s crazy.” He had also addressed how Vera was being compared to Kareena Kapoor.

The actor had said, “She is just overwhelmed… because that attention is not just from India, but global. People are calling from America, Canada, London, Dubai, everywhere. She is so simple, and she has never been exposed to anything like this. This is the first time in her life that she has gone to a red carpet event with her father.”

“I have not yet spoken to them about how to deal with it. But they know they have to be humble and respectful with any and everyone. You’ll never see my children have any attitude or anything with anyone… That being said, this is all so new to them, and they are also overwhelmed,” he stated.

Rajat also revealed that his son, Vivaan Bedi, has been working closely with Aryan Khan for over two years on The Ba***ds of Bollywood and is now preparing to officially enter the film industry. As for Vera, a Bollywood career wasn’t initially on her radar, but Rajat admitted, “She is thinking about it. She never did, but now she is.”
