Jul 24 (PTI) A 65-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man were swept away in separate incidents amid very heavy rains in Maharashtra’s Dhule district on Friday, officials said.
At around 1:30 pm, senior citizen Jethibai Kuvar, a resident of Manjri taluka, drowned in flooded Panjhara river in Sakri, a District Disaster Management official said.
In another incident, Bharat Mali was swept away in Gatkhal river in Balhane village, he added.
Due to very heavy rains over the past two days, the Panjhara medium project on Panjhara river had reached full capacity, the official said.
