Lucknow Men Take On Gold Chain Snatchers In Dramatic Car Chase Video: ‘Chori Karega, Bike Rok…’

In a dramatic incident that looked straight out of an action thriller, two men riding a motorcycle allegedly snatched a woman’s gold chain in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, and attempted to escape quickly. What they did not anticipate was that two other men in a car would decide to pursue them at full speed down a two-lane highway. The entire chase was recorded by one of the two men sitting inside the car. Later, they shared it on social media.

The video posted on X (formerly Twitter) showed the two vehicles locked in a nerve-wracking pursuit on a lightly trafficked road. The man recording the clip could be heard shouting repeatedly at the two men on the motorcycle, using strong language and warning nearby people that the pair were thieves who had just

robbed a woman.

The Men In Car Followed The Bike For Several Kilometres

Despite several attempts to corner the bikers, the car occupants were unable to intercept them. The bikers drove dangerously, narrowly escaping capture at multiple points during the chase. The two vehicles raced for several kilometres, with the men in the car refusing to give up so easily, and one of them continuously yelling for them to stop the bike.

At one heart-stopping moment, the car driver sped in an attempt to close the gap between them and the motorcycle, but the man in the passenger seat instantly warned him to slow down to avoid any potential mishap. The man filming insisted they continue chasing the bikers as far as possible and told the driver he had managed to note down the motorcycle’s licence plate number. Eventually, the bike riders took advantage of their smaller vehicle and dodged the car, then escaped into traffic.

Lucknow Police Respond To The Incident

Soon after the video was shared on the platform, Lucknow Police took note of it. Responding to the incident, they shared, “प्रकरण को संज्ञान में लेकर थाना मड़ियांव पर सुसंगत धाराओं में अभियोग पंजीकृत किया जा रहा है। पुलिस टीमें गठित कर दी गयी है, शीघ्र ही घटना का सफल अनावरण किया जायेगा। (Taking cognizance of the incident, a case is being registered at Madiaon police station under relevant sections. Police teams have been constituted, and the incident will be successfully uncovered shortly).”

Internet Is Divided Over The Risky Chase On Highway

Social media users also reacted to the chase on the highway, with one saying, “A 100cc bike outran a car that too on a highway.”

“Don ko 15 mulko ki police dhoond rahi hai. Ab tak toh don samundar par kar chuka hoga,” another person joked.

“Should have bumped them down,” a different individual shared while letting their intrusive thoughts win over rational judgment.

Meanwhile, someone else shared that the car driver did the right thing by not bumping into the motocyclists, saying, “Remember, we are in India and not in the US. The car driver did the right thing.”
