'Bhaad Mein Jaye': Shilpa Shinde Slams Hina Khan Over 'Character Assassinate Karo' Remark

The latest episode of Lock Upp 2 had two of the biggest rivals of Indian television face to face. With Hina Khan’s entry into the show as the special guest and Shilpa Shinde being one of the contestants, yesterday’s episode of Lock Upp was adrenaline-pumping for Bigg Boss fans. The episode showed a heated conversation and Shilpa’s explosive reaction after Hina’s exit.

Hina Khan entered the show alongside Uorfi Javed as ‘Janta Ki Awaaz’, and the two got the power to save one contestant who was in danger. While Uorfi wished to save Shilpa, Hina was adamant about not agreeing to her. Explaining her stance, Hina said, “I feel mere zindagi ke jo usool hain, jaisi main insaan hoon, main aise gameplay ko, jahan aap logon ko neecha dikhao, character

assassinate karo ya phir gandi game khelo, main uska naam bachane ke liye to nahi loongi.”

Reacting to Hina Khan‘s accusation, Shilpa hit back and said, “Actually, jo ilzaam mere pe lagaya gaya hai character assassination ka, aisa maine kuch bhi nahi kiya hai.” This left Hina laughing, who immediately replied, “Nahi, aapne kiya hai.”

Further defending herself, Hina said, “Cameras jaante hain maine kya bola hai. To main usse disagree karti hoon.” Hina then hit back, “Exactly, cameras jaante hain aur janta bhi.”

After Hina and Uorfi saved Varun and left the stage, Shreya Kalra told Shilpa that she was sure Hina wouldn’t save her. To this, Shilpa took a sharp dig and said, “Wo to bhaad mein jaye yaar,” while referring to their Bigg Boss journey. Shilpa further added, “Wo character assassination ki baat kar rahi hai. Madam khud andar kya kya bol chuki hai, wo usko pata hai.”

Why is Shilpa Shinde in Lock Upp?

Shilpa Shinde became a household name with her portrayal of Angoori Bhabhi in the popular sitcom Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai. The show premiered in 2015 and turned her into an overnight sensation. However, in March 2016, Shilpa abruptly quit the show, leaving fans shocked. At the time, she accused the makers of mentally harassing her. Now, nearly a decade later, she has admitted that those allegations were false.

About the Hina-Shilpa rivalry

Hina Khan and Shilpa Shinde have been at loggerheads ever since their Bigg Boss days, but the rivalry resurfaced following Shilpa’s admission on Bharti Singh’s podcast that she had filed a false sexual harassment complaint against Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai producer Sanjay Kohli during their legal dispute. Following Shilpa’s confession, Hina took to her Instagram and wrote a long note calling her out.
