With social media platforms gaining presence, almost every moment is being captured, recorded and shared online. From morning routines to dinner tables, social media has turned everyday life into content.
A short video doing the rounds on Instagram shows a husband asking his wife for more roti as some sabzi is left on the plate. In the video, the husband can be heard saying, “Sabzi thodi bachi hai, roti le aao” (Some sabzi is left, bring roti).
His wife responds, “Sabzi bachi hai, tabhi roti chahiye, aise bhook nahi hai?” (The sabzi is left, so only then you want roti, not because you’re hungry). The husband replies casually, “Nahi” (No).
Why The Husband Was Shocked
What happened next surprised the husband as the wife picked up the remaining sabzi,
reportedly Manchurian balls, and ate it. The man stumbled in surprise, and the wife jokingly said, “Because you weren’t hungry, I picked it. Why do you want me to make roti just because some sabzi was left?”
The husband, slightly disappointed, replied, “I would have eaten the sabzi if you had said no to making rotis.”

>you take care of the children and cover all your wife’s expenses.>but when you come home, that same wife doesn’t even let you eat peacefully.

How Did The Social Media React?
The banter sparked a wider debate online about how far people go to create content for social media reels, sometimes not even letting family members enjoy a quiet meal in peace.
“I feel so bad for the guy, some women don’t understand how to keep your man happy,” one user wrote.
While another commented, “Content is everything these days. The disease is spreading like a plague. People need to understand that it’s not funny every time. If you keep doing this, someone will eventually snap, and it will end up hurting feelings for everyone involved. A person earns money to put food on the table, and it’s the one thing you should let them have in peace.”
“Home is considered a private place for family. But once you bring the whole country inside for reels, let’s not call it a home anymore—it’s a circus, and the camera person is the ringmaster,” wrote the next.
While many found the clip funny and staged, urging others to take the content humorously.
One commented, “So cute.. spouses should be this cool.. such banters are necessary for a healthy relationship.”
Another wrote, “It’s nothing like that. She’s only kidding with her husband, that’s all.”
“They are content creators its a joke take it as a joke, the husband also does certain pranks on wife,” wrote the next.
