President Donald Trump’s top envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, are set to travel to Russia and Ukraine this weekend as Washington intensifies diplomatic efforts to broker an end to the ongoing war.

Witkoff and Kushner are scheduled to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Saturday before travelling to Kyiv for talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday, Axios reported, citing US officials.

The two envoys have been at the forefront of Trump’s negotiations aimed at securing a peace agreement between Moscow and Kyiv. However, significant differences between Russia and Ukraine continue to pose a major challenge to reaching a deal.
