In a tragic incident early Monday morning, a 37-year-old woman and her eight-year-old son lost their lives after being hit by a private college bus on Viveknagar Main Road in Bengaluru. The accident occurred near Viveknagar Junction while they were crossing the road.
The victims have been identified as Sangeetha, an assistant at Army Public School who hailed from Andhra Pradesh, and her son Partha. The unfortunate incident took place around 6:30 am when the speeding bus struck them, resulting in their instant death. The bus driver fled the scene following the accident.
The bodies have been sent to Bowring Hospital for post-mortem examination. The Ashoknagar Traffic Police Station has registered a case and launched a search for the driver, identified
as Sunil.
