With Chhath Puja, one of Bihar’s most significant festivals, just around the corner, Indian Railways has joined in the festive spirit by playing Chhath songs at railway stations to delight travellers and
devotees.
According to an official statement by Indian Railways, the initiative aims to connect passengers with the auspicious spirit of the festival and make their journey more pleasant.
The songs will be broadcast at major stations like Patna, Danapur, Hajipur, Bhagalpur, Jamalpur, Sonpur, New Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Anand Vihar Terminal.
Indian Railways To Run Over 12,000 Special Trains
The preparation of Indian Railways is not limited to the broadcasting of songs. Indian Railways is ensuring a smooth and comfortable festive journey for passengers by operating over 12,000 special trains across the country. To manage the massive festive rush, holding areas equipped with all passenger amenities have been set up at major stations such as New Delhi, Anand Vihar Terminal, Udhna, Pune, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and others.

Extra Waiting Rooms Set Up At Anand Vihar Railway Station
To manage the festive rush ahead of Chhath Puja, Indian Railways has put in place special arrangements at Delhi’s Anand Vihar railway terminal, including extra waiting areas and help desks for passengers travelling to Bihar and Purvanchal regions.
Medical Booths Set Up At Railway Stations
Indian Railways has set up 24×7 medical booths at Patna, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Gaya, and Saharsa with fire brigade and ambulance services on standby for prompt passenger health assistance and safety management.
