United States Vice President JD Vance will not be a part of the US delegation that is set to visit Pakistan’s capital on Monday for a US-Iran peace deal.
In a post shared by ABC News’ Jonathan Karl, he said, ” President Trump just told me Vance will not be going to Islamabad. He said the issue is security — the Secret Service couldn’t do it on 24 hours notice.”
Ahead of the peace talks in Pakistan, Trump issued a stern warning to Iran. In a post on Truth Social, he wrote, “Iran decided to fire bullets yesterday in the Strait of Hormuz — A Total Violation of our Ceasefire Agreement! Many of them were aimed at a French Ship, and a Freighter from the United Kingdom. That wasn’t nice, was it? My Representatives are going to Islamabad, Pakistan — They
will be there tomorrow evening, for Negotiations. Iran recently announced that they were closing the Strait, which is strange, because our BLOCKADE has already closed it. They’re helping us without knowing, and they are the ones that lose with the closed passage, $500 Million Dollars a day! The United States loses nothing.”
The post further said, “In fact, many Ships are headed, right now, to the U.S., Texas, Louisiana, and Alaska, to load up, compliments of the IRGC, always wanting to be “the tough guy!” We’re offering a very fair and reasonable DEAL, and I hope they take it because, if they don’t, the United States is going to knock out every single Power Plant, and every single Bridge, in Iran. NO MORE MR. NICE GUY! They’ll come down fast, they’ll come down easy and, if they don’t take the DEAL, it will be my Honor to do what has to be done, which should have been done to Iran, by other Presidents, for the last 47 years. IT’S TIME FOR THE IRAN KILLING MACHINE TO END!.”
Iran Fires Back At Trump
After Trump accused Tehran of violating the ceasefire agreement and issued fresh threats to strike Iranian infrastructure, Iran responded sharply, saying the US naval blockade on its ports is an “unlawful and criminal” act and a breach of the Pakistan-mediated truce.
Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said in a post on X that Washington’s actions were not only a violation of the ceasefire agreement but also against international law.
“The United States’ so-called “blockade” of Iran’s ports or coastline is not only a violation of Pakistani-mediated ceasefire but also both unlawful and criminal,” he wrote.
Baqaei further accused the US of imposing collective punishment on the Iranian people, calling it a “war crime and crime against humanity”.
