Ahead of the Stranger Things Season 5 premiere on Netflix, the show’s director, Shawn Levy, got emotional and nostalgic as the series approaches its conclusion. Taking fans on a trip down memory lane,
Levy shared a throwback photo from Season 1 and revealed that he plans to post behind-the-scenes moments from all four previous seasons throughout the month.
Shawn Levy Shares Throwback Pictures From Season 1
On November 1, Levy took to Instagram to share a picture of The Party, the original gang, which consisted of Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard), Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin), and Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo). The filmmaker also shared a photo with the co-creators Ross and Matt Duffer. Posting the nostalgic picture, Levy wrote, “It’s been the adventure of a lifetime. BTS pics each day, every day, till the very end. A personal look back at these years that turned all our worlds upside down.”

  On day 2, Levy continued to reminisce about scenes from Season 1. These new pictures featured Millie Bobby Brown’s character Eleven, who joined the gang following Will’s disappearance. The thread also showed Levy directing the actress for a key season in the season, and the last picture featured the full Wheeler family, including Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer) and young Holly, the youngest sibling. Sharing the pictures, Levy wrote, “Early days in Hawkins.”

What Do We Know About Stranger Things?
This science fiction mystery drama first aired on Netflix in 2016. Set in the 1980s, Stranger Things revolves around the residents of the fictional small town of Hawkins, Indiana. The plot develops when a young girl with psychokinetic abilities opens a gateway between Earth and an alternate dimension known as the Upside Down. The series took thematic inspirations from the works of Steven Spielberg, David Lynch, John Carpenter, Stephen King, Wes Craven and others.
Stranger Things Season 5
After four successful seasons, Stranger Things is all set to wrap up the story of Hawkins in the fifth and final season. The upcoming season has been divided into three parts. The first four episodes make up Vol. 1, which will be released on November 26. Vol. 2 features the next three episodes, which will be airing on December 25, and the final Vol. 3 will be released on New Year’s Eve, December 31. All three parts will be available to stream on Netflix.
