Star India and Mumbai Indians batter Rohit Sharma’s awkward reaction to a fan’s sudden meltdown while clicking a selfie has gone viral on social media, with the clip gaining a lot of laughs.

Rohit, one of the most recognisable figures in Indian cricket, was heading towards the Mumbai Indians team bus when an excited fan stopped him for a selfie. Despite a packed schedule, he paused to pose for the photo, as he often does for fans.

The fan, overwhelmed by the chance to take a selfie with Rohit, fumbled with her phone after it switched off. With the team bus ready to depart, he appeared keen to avoid any further delay and make his way back.

The fan pleaded with Rohit to wait a little longer while she fixed the problem with her phone. Although he didn’t

seem pleased by the delay, he still stayed back and posed for the selfie.

The scene turned even more dramatic after the selfie was taken, with the fan screaming in excitement after capturing her prized moment with Rohit. Security personnel escorted her aside as he carried on towards the team bus.

Meanwhile, Rohit marked his return from injury in style, smashing a fluent 84 as the Mumbai Indians pulled off their highest-ever successful IPL run chase, hunting down 229 to defeat the Lucknow Super Giants by six wickets on Monday.

Rohit had missed all five games since leaving the field after suffering a hamstring injury while batting against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Mumbai on April 12.

With three victories and seven losses in 10 games, MI only have six points and need to win each of their remaining four to remain alive.
