Looks like the makers of Ramayana are not happy with Sai Pallavi’s latest release, Ek Din. The actress, who will be playing the role of Sita in Ranbir Kapoor starrer, has found herself at the centre of criticism over her Hindi pronunciation in Ek Din. Released on May 1, the film also starred Junaid Khan in the lead and failed to leave a mark at the box office.

Amid all this, a report by ABP News has now claimed that the filmmakers are considering dubbing Sai Pallavi’s dialogues. Reportedly, they are planning to do this to ensure the language sounds more refined and universally neutral in Ramayana. The decision is reportedly also being taken considering Sai Pallavi is playing the role of Sita in the film, which demands a more polished Hindi delivery.

However, it should be noted that there is no official confirmation regarding this as of now.

Netizens Disappointed With Sai Pallavi

After videos of Sai Pallavi from Ek Din promotions went viral on social media, netizens expressed disappointment with her Hindi dialect. “Meet Sai Pallavi: Can’t speak basic words of Hindi. Now she’s playing Sita Mata in Ramayana,” one of the users wrote on X. “I think Sai Pallavi did this film just to get better with the Hindi dialogues and pronunciation for the role of Sita in the upcoming Ramayana,” added another.

“What was Nitesh Tiwari even thinking while casting Sai Pallavi for Sita maa’s role, who can’t even speak proper Hindi? Horrendous casting man,” a third comment read.

It should be noted that before Sai Pallavi, Alia Bhatt was finalised for the role of Sita in Ramayana. However, she backed out of the project due to date-related issues.

While Sai Pallavi is playing the role of Sita in Ramayana, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen essaying the role of Ram. Yash will also be seen playing Ravan in the film.

Ramayana: Part I is slated for a theatrical release this Diwali, while the second chapter will release on Diwali 2027.
