XAT 2026: The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) has extended the registration deadline for the Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur to December 11, 2025. Originally, the application was set to close on December 5.
The exam is scheduled for January 4, 2026. Admissions to over 250 institutes across India will be based on XAT 2026 scores. The admit card will tentatively be issued on December 20, with results expected by the last week of January.
XAT 2026: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must possess a minimum three-year undergraduate degree in any field to apply for XAT 2026. Those in their final year of graduation are also eligible, provided they complete their final exams by June 10, 2026. There is no minimum percentage requirement for graduation to appear for XAT.
XAT 2026: Exam Pattern
The XAT 2026 exam
will be held in CBT mode, just like last year. The exam duration is three hours and 30 minutes and includes four main sections:
– Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation
– Decision Making
– Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning
– General Knowledge
All questions will be objective type. Each section assesses candidates’ analytical, logical, and managerial decision-making skills. The first three sections contribute to the percentage score used in admissions, while the General Knowledge section is evaluated separately and is often used in the final selection round by institutes like XLRI.
XAT 2026: How To Register?
Step 1 – Visit the official XAT website, xatonline.com, and register as a user by providing your name, email ID, and mobile number.
Step 2 – After registration, you will receive your XAT ID and password on your registered mobile number and email ID.
Step 3 – Log in with the provided credentials to fill out the application form. You will need to provide your educational qualifications, work experience (if applicable), select preferred exam cities, and upload a recent passport-size photograph, signature, and valid ID proof.
Step 4 – Pay the XAT registration fee online to complete the application process.
