Big Update On Kamal Haasan And Rajinikanth Film, Promo Shoot Kicks Off Today: Report

One of the most-anticipated collaborations between Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth is once again making headlines, with fresh buzz suggesting that the announcement promo shoot for their upcoming film is set to begin on February 7. The project has already generated immense excitement.

123 Telugu mentioned that the announcement promo shoot is reportedly going at Prasad Studios. Rajiv Menon is said to be handling the camera work for this shoot.

Nelson Dilipkumar To Direct Rajinikanth And Kamal Haasan Film

India Today has reported that the director selection underwent several changes before Nelson was finalised. Initially, Lokesh Kanagaraj was considered following Sundar C’s exit. And now reportedly Nelson became the final choice. Report also claimed

that preparations are underway for an impressive promo shoot. The details are yet to be disclosed.

Participating in the pre-release event of director Madhan’s With Love, Soundarya Rajinikanth, who is the producer of the film, said, “I had called director Venkat Prabhu to invite him for this film’s event. He told me that it had been 16 years since our film ‘Goa’ was released. It has been 16 years since I wore the producer’s hat. I manifested that I would definitely come back with a team such as the ‘With Love’ team, and my manifestation has happened. I am so happy, proud and honoured to come back.” The producer, who thanked director Cibi Chakravarthy for participating in the With Love event, said, “Thalaivar 173 periya poruppu Cibi (Thalaivar 173 is a big responsibility, Cibi). But I have a lot of faith in you. I believe that you will live up to the trust I have in you. A deadly film will come.”

It may be recalled that Rajinikanth was recently asked about his eagerly-awaited upcoming film with director Cibi Chakravarthy, which is being produced by actor Kamal Haasan’s production house Raaj Kamal Films International. Rajinikanth had said, “Shooting is to begin in April this year. It will be a proper commercial entertainer.” The film has triggered excitement ever since actor, producer and politician Kamal Haasan announced that his production house, Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI), would be producing the film.

It may be recalled that one of Tamil cinema’s most successful directors, Sundar C, was to originally direct this film, which Kamal Haasan had said would be a magnum opus. However, to everybody’s surprise, director Sundar C opted out of the project. In a statement titled ‘A Heartfelt Note to My Dearest Fans and Well-Wishers’, Sundar C said, “It is with a heavy heart that I share some important news with you. Due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances, I have made the difficult decision to step back from the prestigious project, #Thalaivar173.”
