Sriram Raghavan’s directorial Ikkis was released in theatres on January 1. The film, starring Agastya Nanda, veteran actor Dharmendra, Jaideep Ahlawat and more, opened to positive reviews. Despite facing strong competition from Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar, the war drama surprised trade analysts with a better-than-expected performance on its opening day.
Continuing its run at the box office, the film saw an increase in numbers on its fourth day. It collected around Rs 5 crore on Sunday. As per the early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk, this takes the total collections to around Rs 20.15 crore net, with an overall Hindi occupancy of 23.93 per cent.

According to Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 7 crore on day one and added
Rs 3.5 crore on its second day. On its first Saturday, Ikkis collected an estimated Rs 4.6 crore net, which is 32.86 per cent higher.
Agastya Nanda’s Message After Ikkis Release
Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda, who made his theatrical debut with Ikkis, has been receiving good reviews for his intense performance. After the overwhelming response, Agastya Nanda shared a message to his fans from his sister Navya Nanda’s account.
On Monday, Navya Nanda took to her Instagram and wrote that this will always be the ‘most special character’ he got to play. “This was, is, and always will be the most special character I got to play. Thank you, Arun Khetarpal. Love, Agastya,” read the message.

Ikkis: Storyline And Cast
The biographical war drama chronicles the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal (played by Agastya), India’s youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra. Set during the 1971 Indo-Pak War, Ikkis shows his early days of military training and his extraordinary bravery on the battlefield that turned him into a national hero. Bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, the film stars Agastya Nanda, Dharmendra, Jaideep Ahlawat, Vivaan Shah, Suhasini Mulay, Sikander Kher and Rahul Dev in lead roles.
With a screenplay written by Sriram Raghavan, Arijit Biswas, and Pooja Ladha Surti, the film offers a tightly controlled and character-driven narrative.
