At a metro station in Delhi, a simple vending machine has left many people surprised and talking. Instead of chips, drinks, or chocolates, this machine stocks packets of underwear. What looked like an ordinary refreshment kiosk at first glance turned out to be something very different.
The sight has sparked mixed reactions. Some people found it funny, while others called it a useful idea for travellers and daily commuters in unexpected situations.
Woman Films Unusual Metro Vending Machine
The clip begins inside the East Metro area, where a woman is recording from behind the camera. In front of her stand three large, glass-front vending machines placed side by side against a wall. The machines are covered with colourful floral designs and have digital
screens on the right side, just like normal snack dispensers. Inside the glass shelves, instead of cold drinks or chips, neatly packed items of underwear are clearly visible in rows.
The floor is clean and tiled, and the bright lighting of the metro station makes the machines stand out. Above the vending machines, a big advertisement poster can be seen on the wall. As she films, the woman sounds shocked but amused at the same time.
Woman Reacts To Unusual Vending Machine
She says while laughing, “Look at this on the East Metro, I saw something so crazy. A vending machine, man, they are selling underwear in a vending machine! Look! What level of innovation have we reached? Underwear in a vending machine, but it is crazy, man. But who goes to the metro and thinks, ‘Oh, I forgot my underwear, let me buy some from here’?”
As she continues speaking, the camera slowly pans across all three machines, giving viewers a clear look at the products inside. The clip later shifts to another part of the station, where two people, a man and a woman, are walking toward the vending machines. They stop in front of the machine, glance at it curiously, and appear to be discussing what they see before walking past it.
People Online Share Mixed Opinions
The video was posted on February 1 and has already crossed 75,000 views, drawing many comments from social media users. A person supported the idea and wrote, “I mean, I think it’s good, the fact that if they have it, we don’t have to worry about our periods then or if we get stains or leakage. I think it’s good enough.”
Another user felt the reaction was unnecessary and commented, “What’s crazy about it, just because you have only seen Coke and chips coming out of a vending machine doesn’t mean it is only used for snack purchasing.”
Someone asked, “Konsa station h???” and another user replied that it is at “Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus” station in Delhi. An individual questioned, “Yeh kis level ka innovation hai?”
A person also joked, “Ye kaisi need h underwear bhul ja rhe h lgta h log pahnne ko to yaha se khreed k pahnge.”
Another user defended the concept, saying, “chi baat hai koi crazy nhi hai… sometimes people travel… and forget their stuff… so they can reach easily for it. This kind of renovation needs this so called vishwaguru india. The actual needs.”
