Mahima Chaudhry Reacts After Fans Say Daughter Arina Looks Exactly Like Off Campus Star Mika Abdalla

A hit streaming series has led to an unexpected case of mistaken identity for Mahima Chaudhry’s daughter, Arina. As Off Campus continues to gain fans online, many viewers have become convinced that they are looking at Arina on screen.

The confusion stems from the striking resemblance between Arina and actress Mika Abdalla, who plays Allie Hayes in the Prime Video series. In fact, the comparisons became so frequent that people started calling Mahima to ask if her daughter had secretly made her acting debut.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Mahima shared, “I know, some people called and asked if Arina had made her debut. I told them, ‘No, not yet. There’s this Campus thing that’s going viral’.”

The actress herself is amazed by how similar the two look. “How can people from two different continents have such an uncanny resemblance,” she said.

And unlike many celebrity parents who might brush off such comparisons, Mahima is clearly enjoying the attention. She said she sees it as a compliment because she finds Mika adorable. “I’m geeked with the resemblance. Because I find her very cute. And if people say I look like her or Ariana looks like her, I’m very happy,” she added.

As for Arina’s future, there are no acting projects on the horizon just yet. Mahima revealed that her daughter has recently completed Class 12 and is currently taking a gap year before deciding what she wants to do next.

However, if Mahima had her way, entertainment would definitely be on the list of options. “I want her to be in entertainment, for sure. I think there’s nothing better than entertaining people,” she said.

The actress explained that the industry has given her a lot over the years, which is why she would be happy to see Arina explore a career in the same space, whether as an actor or in any other creative role.

The resemblance that sparked all the chatter comes from *Off Campus*, an American college romance drama currently streaming on Prime Video. Mika Abdalla stars as Allie Hayes, while Ella Bright plays Hannah Wells. The series also features Belmont Cameli, Stephen Kalyn, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Antonio Cipriano, Josh Heuston and Steve Howey.

Created by Louisa Levy, the show follows the romance between a music student and a popular university hockey player, and has been attracting plenty of attention from viewers.

Meanwhile, Mahima was recently seen in Durlabh Prasad Ki Dusri Shaadi alongside Sanjay Mishra. The actress remains one of the most familiar faces of late ’90s and early 2000s Bollywood. She shot to fame with her debut film Pardes opposite Shah Rukh Khan and later appeared in popular movies such as Dhadkan, Dil Kya Kare, Lajja, Dil Hai Tumhaara and Baghban.
