Jaipur, Sep 8 (PTI) “Gadar” director Anil Sharma’s upcoming film “Arjun Naga” will be shot in Rajasthan and the principal filming will take place in Jaipur and Jaisalmer, officials said on Tuesday.
The film will have a 40-day shooting schedule in the state.
Rajasthan Tourism Commissioner Rukmani Riar said the film production will offer an opportunity to showcase the state’s heritage, culture and natural diversity to a wider audience.
Sharma said that the state is highly conducive to filmmaking.
“I have an attachment to Rajasthan. It is extremely suitable for films. Its landscapes make you want to bring them to the big screen,” the director said.
The film features Sharma’s son Utkarsh Sharma, Gulshan Grover, Arjun Rampal and Nidhhi Agerwal in key
roles.
Riar said the state government has linked the potential of filmmaking with tourism by implementing the Film Tourism Promotion Policy-2025. The policy aims to make Rajasthan a filmmaker-friendly shooting destination and increase the reach of its tourist attractions in India and abroad through films, she said. PTI SDA BK BK
