Defending champions Mumbai Indians defeat Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 15 runs on Monday (January 26) to win their seventh league match of the WPL 2026. The big win over the Smriti Mandhana-led side
in the match played at BCA Stadium in Vadodara helped Mumbai Indians keep their hopes alive of finishing in the top three and making it to the knockouts.
The Mumbai-based franchise have 6 points to their credit from seven matches played so far, but due to a better Net Run Rate (NRR) than Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Giants, they are second in the points table.
On the other hand, despite losing two matches in a row now, RCB remain at the top of the points table. They just need one more win to confirm their place directly in the final.
