Sonam Kapoor Wishes Waheeda Rehman On Her Birthday With A Sweet Post

As legendary actress Waheeda Rehman celebrates her 88th birthday, celebrities have been pouring in warm wishes through heartfelt posts on social media. Sonam Kapoor also joined in, taking to Instagram Stories to share a special message for the iconic star.

The actress posted a solo picture of the veteran star, keeping the message simple yet meaningful. Alongside the photo, Sonam wrote, “Happy birthday Waheeda ji.” The post reflected Sonam’s admiration for the timeless actress whose contribution to Indian cinema continues to inspire generations.

Jackie Shroff also shared a video montage on Instagram featuring pictures and clips of Waheeda Rehman. The clip also included a snippet from the iconic song Aaj Phir Jeene Ki Tamanna Hai from the 1965 classic

Over a career spanning five decades, Waheeda Rehman has appeared in more than 90 feature films. Her contribution to cinema earned her several accolades, including the National Film Award, India’s civilian awards, the Padma Shri in 1972 and the Padma Bhushan in 2011.

Sonam Kapoor’s Casual Day Out

Coming back to Sonam Kapoor, the actress has been constantly making headlines for her pregnancy. She is expecting her second child with her husband, businessman Anand Ahuja. On Monday, Sonam stepped out for a casual appearance where she even interacted with the paparazzi outside a store. Acknowledging the photographers, the actress was striking some quick poses when one of them asked, “Health kaesi hai aapki (How’s your health)?”

Smiling at him, the actress replied, “Sab theek hai (Everything is fine), thank you.” Later, Sonam also obliged some fans’ requests, posing for a selfie one of them.

Sonam Kapoor’s Second Pregnancy

Sonam announced her second pregnancy last year in November by sharing a post on Instagram. Sharing a series of pictures where she revealed her baby bump, the actress simply wrote, “Mother,” subtly expressing her excitement.

In the photos, she wore a hot-pink pure wool suit featuring oversized padded shoulders. The post confirmed her due date is Spring 2026.

Sonam and Anand got married in May, 2018, in a traditional ceremony. Four years after tying the knot, the couple welcomed their first child, son Vayu, in August 2022.
