Diljit Dosanjh’s concert at Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, which will mark the beginning of his Aura Tour in India, is all set to take place on October 30, as planned. While Delhi Police had withheld permission for the concert earlier, it was later granted, and now, according to the latest update, a detailed security plan is being chalked out to ensure everything goes well.
As per The Indian Express, police have asked the organisers to arrange additional private security guards to ensure better arrangements. The authorities have demanded more entry and exit points at the venue. Authorities and organisers are expected to work together to manage the expected turnout at Diljit Dosanjh’s concert.
While the earlier plan was to deploy only 400 private
security guards, officials have now understood the grandeur of the event, and authorities have suggested that between 1,500 and 2,000 personnel would be needed to support crowd control. As part of the traffic management plan, authorities are considering restricting vehicle movement within a 500–700-metre radius of the stadium. Only vehicles carrying artistes will be allowed in some areas.
While JLN Stadium can accommodate approximately 55,000 people, authorities are preparing for a substantial turnout. Organisers are even planning to extend the performance ramp, allowing Diljit Dosanjh to move closer to the audience and interact with fans during the show. While this is still in the discussion stage, the final call will be taken after considering security concerns and obtaining the necessary approvals.
The report claimed that Delhi Police had sent a letter to the ticketing partner BookMyShow, sharing inputs about a possible threat to the concert. The police officer reportedly said that Diljit had allegedly received a threat from the Khalistani separatist group. Meanwhile, an investigation was launched after a threat was received via email targeting Diljit’s Mumbai concert, which is scheduled to take place on November 27.
About Threat To Diljit’s Mumbai Concert
A shocking report by FPJ claimed that fresh threats allegedly targeting Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh had been issued. The report said that Big B’s Jalsa house in Juhu was a target, while Diljit Dosanjh’s concert venue in Mumbai was also under threat.
Diljit is bringing his ongoing Aura World Tour to India, with seven shows planned across November and December. The announcement comes after the singer’s massive Dil-Luminati Tour in 2024. Diljit has spent much of the year taking the Aura World Tour through Europe and North America. He will now bring the show back to Indian audiences, something he says comes with its own feeling.
