(UP), Aug 29 (PTI) A married couple was killed after being hit by a train while allegedly crossing a railway track on a motorcycle near Bhupiamau railway station here, police said on Saturday.
The incident took place on Friday evening in the Kotwali Dehat police station area, they said.
Circle Officer (City) Ashutosh Mishra said the deceased were identified as Ram Krishna Yadav, 45, and his wife Indravati Devi, 40, residents of Raniganj Ajgara village under Leelapur police station.
The couple was crossing the railway track on a motorcycle when they were struck by the train, Mishra said.
