WPL 2024 champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru will go into the first mega-auction of the tournament with five of their core players retained and with an aim to build another team of match-winners, similar
to the one that helped them win the franchise’s first-ever title last year.
WPL 2025 was a below-average season for the then-defending champions and hence, the mega auction is slated to be a very crucial event for RCB.
Earlier this month, Malolan Rangarajan was announced as the team’s head coach for the upcoming season. Having been with the squad since the very beginning, one would expect the Rangarajan-Smriti Mandhana duo to spark some more magic in WPL 2026.
