IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation is collaborating with the Union Education Ministry’s SWAYAM Plus initiative to introduce an AI-enabled HR Analytics Programme. This programme is designed to equip learners with data-driven and AI-enhanced HR skills that meet the evolving needs of the workforce and organisations.
The programme is ideal for students and professionals, especially entry to mid-level HR practitioners, aspiring HR leaders, and industry professionals from sectors such as aviation, technology, and services. The first cohort will start in January 2026. Applications are open until December 30, 2025 via iitmpravartak.org.in/HR-Analytics. Interested participants can also contact dsa@iitmpravartak.net.
The programme aims to empower students
and HR professionals looking to enhance their analytical, digital, and strategic people management skills. Participants will gain practical experience in analysing workforce data, interpreting HR metrics, and utilising AI-driven insights to improve organisational talent strategies, workforce planning, and data-based decision-making.
Dr. M.J. Shankar Raman, CEO of IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation, emphasised the importance of upskilling Indian students and professionals, stating, “This programme marks an important step toward transforming HR into a truly data-driven and AI-empowered function. By combining academic rigor with practical industry insights, we aim to prepare future-ready HR leaders who can drive meaningful impact in organisations of tomorrow.”
As organisations transition into highly digital and technology-driven environments, the HR function is evolving from an administrative role to a strategic, analytical, and AI-integrated leadership domain. HR professionals are now expected to manage people processes and leverage artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, and automation to enhance efficiency and strategic value. The HR Analytics Programme addresses this industry shift by integrating core HR concepts with advanced analytics, AI applications, ML-driven predictive models, and real-world case studies, the IIT stated in an official press release.
The four-month course will include two days of on-campus learning at IIT Madras. A hands-on, industry-focused HR Analytics Capstone Project covering HR dashboards, AI in HR, predictive modelling, HR metrics, and data-driven decision-making is included in the curriculum.
