Chandigarh, Sep 13 (PTI) Rain lashed Chandigarh and parts of Haryana and Punjab on Sunday, bringing relief from the prevailing humid conditions.
According to the Meteorological Office here, Chandigarh received 38.3 mm of rain. The maximum temperature here settled at 34.8 degrees Celsius, nearly two notches below normal limits.
In Haryana, Panchkula, Ambala, Rohtak, Fatehabad, Karnal, and Kurukshetra were among other places to receive rain.
Ambala recorded a maximum temperature of 34.5 degrees Celsius, over a degree below normal, while Rohtak recorded a high of 32.4 degrees Celsius.
Narnaul, Gurugram and Sirsa recorded maximum temperatures of 34.5 degrees, 33.2 degrees and 34.4 degrees Celsius, respectively.
In Punjab, Ropar, Fatehgarh Sahib, Mohali
and Sri Anandpur Sahib were among the places to receive rain.
The maximum temperature at Amritsar settled at 34.6 degrees Celsius, while Ludhiana and Patiala recorded maximum temperatures of 34.4 degrees and 34.2 degrees Celsius, respectively. PTI SUN MPL MPL
