Earmarking certain travellers as “lucky” customers, the company made sure its drivers arrived with one of Mercedes’ high-end variants instead of the usual cabs, including the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R. Namma Yatri also recorded a video capturing the travellers’ reaction upon seeing the Mercedes arrive at the pick-up locations and enjoying the opportunity to sit in a car with a starting price close to Rs 50 lakh.

In a video that surprised people on social media, the driver riding the Namma Yatri sent Mercedes is seen telling customers “aap lucky ho (you are the lucky one)” after they expressed their shock at sitting in the Mercedes instead of the regular cab. When a couple sitting at the back enquired how come they have a Mercedes coming to take them for a regular Namma Yatri booked ride, the driver confirmed it is a surprise gift from the company for certain travellers.
