Flight delays often test passengers’ patience, but a recent incident at Chennai Airport escalated into chaos. Travellers on IndiGo flight 6E-0923, scheduled to depart for Kolkata at 9:15 pm, were reportedly
left waiting for over seven hours without clear communication from the airline. Several passengers alleged that no proper arrangements were made for food, water, or alternative options during the extended delay.
Angry and exhausted, passengers alleged that the airline staff kept giving vague answers. Some even demanded intervention from airport officials and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for what they called “negligence and mismanagement.”
A video capturing the heated exchange has now spread across social media, drawing mixed reactions from viewers.
Passengers Argue With Airline Staff At Chennai Airport
The video opens with a chaotic scene at Gate No.105A of Chennai airport. A group of angry passengers can be seen surrounding an IndiGo staff member, raising their voices and demanding answers.
One man, visibly upset, claps his hands in anger and yells, “You are manipulating us so badly! Why are you saying lies? What the hell are you doing?” As tensions rise, several other passengers join in, surrounding the staffer and shouting in frustration.
Amid the commotion, a man wearing a dark blue T-shirt steps forward, trying to calm everyone down and diffuse the argument. His calm approach seems to momentarily cool the situation.
The video later cuts to another clip showing a man in a white shirt and the same blue T-shirt man still discussing the issue with staff members. Though their conversation isn’t clearly audible, the gestures and body language suggest it remains heated.
Internet Praises Calm Passenger Amid Heated Scene
The video, shared on Instagram on November 10, has already gained over 3 lakh views. While some users sympathised with the angry passengers, others praised the man in the blue T-shirt for keeping his composure.
A comment read, “Thanks, gentleman in blue T-shirt. You are saving humanity.”
Another person wrote, “Maybe the airline is wrong, but where is your civic sense and education?”
Some users felt that such confrontations rarely help. “No airline delays its flights without reason. It’s frustrating, but these things happen everywhere,” one user said.
Another commented, “Late is better than incident. Even airlines face losses when flights get delayed.”
