The Rajasthan anti-gangster task force (AGTF) on Monday successfully nabbed Jagdeep Singh, alias Jagga, a prominent member of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, near the US-Canada border.
The operation was carried out in collaboration with the international law enforcement agencies.
The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers detained Jagga, a key operative under gang member Rohit Godara.
Jagga had been on the run from India for a long time and was operating the gang from abroad. According to investigation agencies, Jagdeep Singh alias Jagga fled India to Dubai three years ago and then illegally reached America. While in America, he was working for Lawrence Bishnoi gang member Rohit Godara and was managing the gang’s activities
from abroad.
Jagga had been under AGTF’s radar for a long time due to his involvement in serious criminal activities across Rajasthan and Punjab. He is wanted in over a dozen pending cases, with arrest warrants issued by courts in Rajasthan for offences, ranging from jumping bail to attempted murder.
Jagga was also an accused in the Vasudev Israni murder case in Jodhpur. In this case, he was imprisoned with Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol Bishnoi. After being released on bail, he went to Dubai and resumed working for the gang.
Reportedly, he handled funding, weapon supply, and threatening messages on social media for the Lawrence Bishnoi and Rohit Godara gang.
