The appearance marks Nora’s first-ever collaboration with Rajinikanth, making the sequence one of the most talked-about additions to the sequel.
Following In Kaavaalaa’s Viral Footsteps
Jailer (2023) featured Tamannaah Bhatia in a special role, with the song Kaavaalaa—composed by Anirudh Ravichander—becoming a global viral sensation. Nora Fatehi’s inclusion signals that the makers are once again betting on a standout dance number to elevate the sequel’s pop culture footprint.
Nora Fatehi’s Expanding South Indian Film Slate
Beyond Jailer 2, Nora Fatehi is also preparing for a major career milestone in Tamil cinema. She will play a co-lead role in Raghava Lawrence’s Kanchana 4, marking her debut as a leading actress in Kollywood. The horror-comedy franchise installment also stars Pooja Hegde.
More About Jailer 2
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer 2 continues the action-comedy universe established in the 2023 blockbuster. Rajinikanth returns in the lead, with several high-profile appearances expected from stars including Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, Vijay Sethupathi, Vidya Balan and Mithun Chakraborty.
The film is currently in production and is expected to arrive in theatres around August 2026, setting up one of the biggest Tamil releases of the year.
