As India hosted the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi on September 12-13, several world leaders, including Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, attended the event. Accompanying the Iranian delegation was Zahra Pezeshkian, who has now come into the spotlight.
On Saturday, Zahra visited the BRICS Bazaar at the National Crafts Museum. She explored stalls displaying handicrafts, textiles, art, food products and other traditional items from BRICS member and partner countries.
Videos of Zahra’s visit were shared by the official social media handles of the Iranian Embassy in India. Her visit came as her father attended the BRICS Summit in New Delhi, where leaders discussed global issues, development and cooperation.
Who Is Zahra Pezeshkian?
Zahra Pezeshkian
is the only daughter of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. A chemist by profession, she holds a master’s degree in chemistry from Iran’s Sharif University of Technology and has worked in the country’s petrochemical industry.
She has also been described as a political adviser and is frequently seen accompanying her father at official events and during international visits. Zahra has often travelled with her widowed father, who raised her and his two surviving sons following the death of his wife and another son in a car accident in 1994.
Zahra Gets Special Welcome At BRICS Bazaar
During her visit to the BRICS Bazaar, Zahra was welcomed by Union Minister for Women and Child Development and Kodarma Lok Sabha MP Annapurna Devi. The Minister shared pictures with Zahra on X and said she had shown the Iranian president’s daughter around the bazaar.

What Is BRICS Bazaar?
The BRICS Bazaar is being held at the National Crafts Museum & Hastkala Academy in New Delhi from September 10 to 15 as part of activities linked to the BRICS Summit 2026. It features traditional handicrafts, textiles, food products and other cultural items from participating countries.
Country panels at the bazaar represent India, Iran, Russia, China, Brazil, Bolivia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Thailand, the UAE, Uzbekistan, Cuba, Belarus, Malaysia, Nigeria, Uganda and Vietnam.
