While all the work related directly to the temple and the public has been completed, some work that will not affect devotees first-hand is yet to be over.
“The only ongoing works are those not directly related to the public, such as the 3.5-kilometer-long boundary wall, the Trust office, guest house, auditorium, and similar structures,” it said.
It further said that Larsen and Toubro (L&T) is laying stones on roads, while GMR has been doing other work related to landscaping and greenery around the Ram Janmabhoomi temple.
“As per the plan, the work of laying stones on roads and flooring is being carried out by L&T, while the work of landscaping, greenery, and the construction of Panchvati across 10 acres is being rapidly undertaken by GMR,” the post added.
PM Modi To Hoist Flag Atop Temple
The full construction of Ram Janmabhoomi temple comes ahead of flag hoisting ceremony atop the spire of the temple, which would be done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 25.
According to Shree Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust chairman Nripendra Mishra, a list of 6000-8000 invitees, representing various sections, has been prepared for the mega event.
“Now that the construction of the temple is complete, ‘Ram Parivar’ is ‘virajman’ on the first floor of the temple. An arti of the ‘Ram Parivar’ will be performed on that day when the PM will hoist the ‘Dhwaj’ atop the Ram temple. The Nyas is organising this programme, with Champat Rai as the incharge. A list of 6000-8000 invitees has been prepared for this programme,” Nripendra Mishra told news agency ANI.
Ram Janmabhoomi Temple
The temple, constructed in the traditional Nagara style, has a length (east-west) of 380 feet, a width of 250 feet, and a height of 161 feet. It is designed by celebrated architect Chandrakant B Sompura, in collaboration with son Ashish.
The sanctum sanctorum houses the childhood form of Bhagwan Shri Ram (the idol of Shri Ram Lalla), while on the first floor, there is Shri Ram Darbar.
Supported by a total of 392 pillars and 44 doors, the Mandir is three-storied, with each floor being 20 feet tall. The pillars and walls showcase intricately sculpted depictions of Hindu deities, gods and goddesses.
With much pomp and grandeur, the 51-inch tall idol of Ram Lalla was consecrated in the sanctum-sanctorum of the temple on January 22, 2024. The 51-inch-tall idol, crafted by famed sculptor Arun Yogiraj, was consecrated among around 8,000 VVIPS belonging to all sects of life. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had presided over the rituals of the pran pratishtha ceremony.
