Election Commission of India, Union Ministers, and politicians across party lines on Sunday hailed Surya Kumar Yadav-led team India after Men in Blue posted a 5-wicket win over Pakistan at the Dubai International Stadium to clinch the coveted Asia Cup 2025 as they chased down a target of 147.
The poll body congratulated Team India for their victory and also appealed to vote in the upcoming elections. India Defeats Pakistan By 5 Wickets
India beat Pakistan by 5 wickets on Sunday (September 28) to win the final of the Asia Cup 2025. In a thrilling low-scoring final, half-centurion Tilak Varma kept his cool till the end as India clinched their ninth Asia Cup title.
India bowled out Pakistan for a modest 146 and then chased down the target of 147 with two balls remaining.
India got off to a horror start, losing Abhishek Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav and Shubhman Gill with only 20 runs on the board. However, Tilak Verma and Sanju Samson showed nerves of steel to guide India towards the victory target, and Shivam Dube pitching in with a crucial 33. It was Rinku Singh who scored the winning boundary, just as he wanted.
