Legendary singer Shaan has been mesmerizing the world with his melodious voice for more than two decades. Known as the “Golden Voice of India,” he is considered one of the greatest Indian playback singers
of all time. Following in his father’s footsteps is his son Maahi Mukerjee, who made his Bollywood singing debut this year and hopes to carry forward his father’s legacy. Videos of the father-son duo singing together often take over the internet, sending fans into a frenzy and this time was no exception. A video of the duo singing one of Shaan’s hit songs, Aao Milo Chale, has now caught fans’ attention.
Shaan and His Son Mahi Sing Together
In a video, Shaan and his son Maahi are seen at an event at the luxurious Mumbai restaurant, La Panthera. The paparazzi couldn’t resist capturing the ever-charming singer and his son together. The video shows Shaan soulfully singing one of his most popular songs, Aao Milo Chale, from the 2007 cult classic Jab We Met. Maahi joins his father, and together they sing the lines, “Hum jo chalne lage, chalne lage hain ye raaste, manjil se behtar lagne lage hain ye raaste,” before the music icon says with a smile, “25 saal se is raaste pe chalte huye.” (I’ve been walking this road for 25 long years.)
The video also captures Shaan warmly greeting and sharing a hug with another music icon of India, veteran composer Pritam.

Maahi’s Journey In The Singing World
Earlier this year, Maahi made his Bollywood singing debut by lending his voice to one of the songs of the film Nadaaniyan. He has lent his voice to Ibrahim Ali Khan for the track Tera Kya Karoon. The song is composed by the talented duo Sachin–Jigar, with lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The movie features Khushi Kapoor alongside Saif Ali Khan’s son in the lead roles.
He has released another song Jaan Se Jyada, featuring her parents, Shaan and Radhika Mukherjee. Following the release of the song he sat on an interview with News18 and got candid about working with his father Shaan for his latest music video and the pressure of living up to his legacy.
He shared, “Naturally, there is a little bit of pressure, but I thinka little bit of pressure is necessary as well for pushing me that extra amount.”
He added, “It’s never imposed by my dad or mom. They are never putting the pressure that ‘my son needs to sing like this or that’,” he said, adding, “My dad always says ‘focus on your own identity, I’ll be here to help you throughout the way. So that way I would say the pressure is a lot less. However, there is a little bit of pressure but I think it’s a good amount.”
Maahi released his debut single “Sorry” in 2024. The young artist also delivered a remarkable performance at the Cannes Film Festival 2024. His performances in concerts continue to win the hearts of his fans.
