England crushed Pakistan by 194 runs on Sunday (August 30) to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the ongoing three-match Test series. Chasing a target of 389 runs, Pakistan could manage only 194 runs in 50.5 overs. Saud Shakeel top-scored with 97 runs, but his knock was not enough to help the visitors avoid a heavy defeat.
For England, Ollie Robinson picked up four wickets, while Josh Tongue accounted for three Pakistani batters. Jofra Archer also claimed two wickets for 73 runs in 15 overs.
The win in the second consecutive Test has helped England increase their tally to 62 points and their points percentage (PCT) to 29.76. However, they remain seventh in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 points table.
Pakistan, meanwhile, remain at the
bottom of the standings with a PCT of 19.05.
