Thane, Aug 29 (PTI) A 37-year-old ice cream shop owner died of electrocution due to current leakage from a deep freezer at his establishment in Old Dombivli area of Maharashtra’s Thane district, police said on Saturday.
The incident occurred on August 27 evening, and the victim was identified as Jagdish Gadri, they said.
While Gadri was organising stock inside the deep freezer, electric current suddenly passed through the appliance, causing him to suffer a severe shock and collapse on the floor.
People nearby rushed him to a neighboring hospital, where attending doctors declared him brought dead. His body was subsequently sent to a government hospital for a post-mortem examination, the police said.
