New Delhi, May 30 (PTI) A fire broke out at a mobile charger godown located on the ground floor of a building in southwest Delhi’s Mahipalpur area on Saturday night, prompting the deployment of 14 firefighting vehicles, officials said.
The blaze was reported from a factory, Gali No 12 in Mahipalpur under the Vasant Kunj area, they said.
The Delhi Fire Services received a call about the fire at around 9.40 pm and initially dispatched five vehicles to the spot.
As firefighting efforts progressed, the incident was successively upgraded to “Make 4” and “Make 6,” leading to additional vehicles being dispatched to the site. In total, 14 firefighting vehicles were engaged in combating the fire, officials said.
Officials stated that firefighting operations
were still in progress, and there was no immediate information regarding casualties or injuries. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined. PTI SGV MPL MPL
