Veteran actor Satish Shah’s manager, Ramesh Kadatala, has shared emotional details about the moments leading up to the actor’s sudden passing on Saturday afternoon. Known for his warmth, wit, and unforgettable screen presence, Shah’s death has left the entertainment industry in deep shock.
Actor Collapsed During Lunch
Speaking about the heartbreaking moment, Ramesh said the actor suddenly collapsed while having his meal at home around 2 pm to 2:45 pm. “Kal lunch karte samaye hua tha. Woh khana khaate khaate ek niwala khaye, phir collapse hua. Kuch half an hour laga ambulance laane mein… hospital jaane par declare kiya doctor ne,” he recalled.
He added that it took nearly half an hour to arrange an ambulance, and despite their efforts, doctors
declared Satish Shah dead upon arrival at the hospital.
Neighbours Tried To Help
The actor’s neighbour, Anup, who was with him during those tense moments, remembered how everyone rushed to help. “As soon as Ramesh called me, I went there. Satish kaka ke liye madad chalu kiya.. hum koshish karte rahe unko sahi karne ke liye,” he said. “He was such a good person — an artist with a big heart. Jis jis ko bulaya tha vo turant chale aaye kaam chodkar ke.”

Recent Health Concerns
Ramesh also revealed that Shah had undergone a kidney transplant in June this year in Kolkata. He had been recovering well, though a mild urinary infection had recently surfaced. “After that, everything was normal. There was a little urinary infection, but antibiotics were started,” Ramesh shared.
Final Journey
On Sunday, Shah’s final rites took place at Pawan Hans Crematorium in Vile Parle (West), Mumbai. Friends, family members, and fans gathered outside his residence to bid farewell to the beloved actor, whose comedic brilliance and generosity of spirit touched countless lives. On-screen son Rajesh Kumar, who played Roshesh Sarabhai shoulders Satish Shah’s mortal remains during funeral procession. Meanwhile, Rupali Ganguly broke down into tears.
