BSEB Class 12 Exams 2026 Begin Today; 13.18 Lakh Students To Appear Across Bihar

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) will begin the Class 12 Intermediate Annual Examination 2026 from February 2. Around 13.18 lakh students are set to appear for the exams, which will be held at 1,761 centres across Bihar.

To ensure smooth and fair conduct of the examinations, the board has issued strict guidelines to prevent malpractice. BSEB Chairman Anand Kishore has directed district administrations to follow a zero-tolerance policy so that the exams are conducted in a transparent and disciplined manner.

For better coordination during the examination period, the board will operate a 24×7 control room starting 6:00 am on February 1. The control room can be reached at 0612-2232227 and 0612-2232257. In addition, WhatsApp groups have been

created to maintain constant communication with district officials.

Admit cards for the Class 12 board exams are available on the official website, intermediate.biharboardonline.com. However, students will have to collect their admit cards from their respective schools.

The examinations will be conducted in two shifts each day. The morning shift will begin at 9:30 am, while the afternoon shift will start at 2 pm. Students have been advised to reach their examination centres well in advance, as entry gates will close 30 minutes before the start of the exam.

For the morning shift, gates will close at 9 am, and for the afternoon shift at 1:30 pm. Late entry will not be permitted, and students arriving after gate closure may face disciplinary action.

Security arrangements will be strict, with two rounds of frisking at examination centres. The use of electronic items such as mobile phones, smartwatches and Bluetooth devices will be strictly prohibited inside the exam halls. Students have been urged to follow all guidelines to ensure the examinations are conducted smoothly.
